NPSTC Channel Naming

The National Public Safety Telecommunications Council (NPSTC) is asking for recommendations on the issue of channel naming for interoperability channels. According to the group, there is some “confusion and dissent on the proposed NCC common nomenclature and encourages open discussion and alternate recommendations from public safety entities to develop understanding and a national consensus.” NPSTC will hold a meeting Feb. 5th to discuss channel naming, and wants input before that date.
