Cyren Call Comments

The comments continue to pile upon the FCC’s Web site about the Cyren Call proposal for a nationwide public safety radio network submitted by Nextel co-founder Morgan O’Brien. The FCC said last month that it cannot take action on the proposal because Congress has already mandated use of the 700 MHz frequencies that O’Brien suggested for the network. Even so, the FCC allowed the comment process to continue, with over 1,300 submitted so far. However, if you read many of the submissions, you’ll find they’re canned comments generated from the official Cyren Call Web site, and e-mailed by the site to the FCC.
