A man who stormed a New Bedford (Mass.) strip club armed with an assault rifle killed two employees, and then dialed 911 to speak to dispatcher Ronald Pacheco–and then killed himself. “I’m the person in the club shooting,” said Scott Medeiros. “I have a little issue I took care of.” Pacheco was on the phone with Medeiros for four minutes, tried to calm him down and gain his trust. Police chief Ronald Teachman later praised Pacheco, saying he gave club customers, “precious seconds. People were able to flee.
