Delayed Response Questions

An incident in Jacksonville (Fla.) has raised questions about why it took officers 24 minutes to arrive from locations that were just about six minutes away. Several callers reported a child being beaten by parents, and officers were immediately dispatched. But a WTLV-TV report they were delayed for some reason. The incident also raises questions about how the dispatchers reacted to the subsequent 911 calls. Read the story here.
