A Los Angeles area freeway shooting was trailed down the highway by several other motorists, who dialed 911 to report what they saw. But during one 911 call an unidentified California Highway Patrol calltaker tried to obtain information from a female caller, even though the woman was already talking to a CHP officer. At one point the calltaker was testy with the caller, telling her that the shooting suspect would get away because she didn’t provide enough information. Listen to the call (.wma) here.
