Dispatchers at the Cherokee County (Okla.) 911 center are excited to be training on the center’s upgraded E911 system, which will give them ANI/ALI for incoming cellular 911 calls. The Phase II upgrade was funded by a 50 cent monthly surcharge on cellular phones in the county. The dispatchers’ consoles will expand from one to three screens, said 911 director Darryl Maggard, showing CAD, maps and other information systems. Read more about their upgrade here.
