The city of Springfield (Ill.) and Sangamon County are still at odds over sharing–and paying for–a mobile data system for their public safety agencies. The city originally agreed to be part of a joint system five years ago, but bailed out when they couldn’t find financing. Now the city council has decided they should join the system, but the county is demanding payment on the city’s original share of the system that the county purchased on its own.
