Bounced 911 Call

Police in Brown County (Ohio) are investigating a homicide where a man was found dead in his car outside his girlfriend’s house. However, the first cellular 911 call reporting the incident came to the Brown County 911 center across the state line in Kentucky, which complicated the initial response. The caller gave a name and address which matched one in the town of Augusta in Brown County. Fire and EMS units found nothing, and two more 911 calls were needed to pinpoint the caller’s actual location. Brown County is on the northern border of the state, across the Ohio River from two Ohio counties, which creates all sorts of cellular 911 possibilities.
