NENA Ready for NG9-1-1

NENA is ready to get rolling on the Next Generation E911 (NG911), and is asking its members to join the organizational effort that has been underway for several years. In an e-mail to members, NENA Technical Committe co-chairs Billy Ragsdale and Steve O’Conor asked for volunteer participants for a transition planning committee. The group will bring together public and private sector representatives, “in preparation for gradual but large-scale conversion from the current 9-1-1 environment to NG9-1-1 across the USA and Canada.”
