Follow-Up: Profanity on Radio

Bangor (Penn.) police chief Glenn Kerrigan says the FBI will not help identify the person on a logging recorder tape who went on a 4-minute, obscenity-ladden tirade last January over the Northampton County radio system. The chief says he suspects one of his own officers. However, he said the FBI declined to process the tape, saying they didn’t have the resources to handle the request, and that it could take one year to work through other cases. ”I’m getting nowhere with it,” Kerrigan said. ”Nobody seems to be able to do what I need to get done.”
