An unnamed Scott County (Wisc.) dispatcher and his agency are being sued by the family of a man killed by car whose accelerator had been jammed by a rock. The driver dialed 911 and spoke to the dispatcher for over 8 minutes as she sped into Lakeville, finally striking a motorcycle and killing the driver and injuring the passenger. The dispatcher told her to put the car into neutral, veer off the road or turn the car off, but nothing worked. Read the sheriff’s reaction to the lawsuit here.
